Early Decision 

 

Santiago Canyon College offers a TRUE priority registration program for graduating high school seniors. The program is called Early Decision (ED) and is offered to all of the Orange Unified School District high schools.

Students who participate in this priority registration program will be allowed to register in the month of May, that's BEFORE SCC's 9,000 continuing students! Students will only receive priority registration for the fall 2012 semester at SCC.

 In order to participate in SCC's 2012 ED priority registration program students must complete the following steps:

1. Complete an SCC online application

  • Students can submit a fall 2012 application beginning December 1, 2011
  • www.sccollege.edu

2. Take a college placement test

  • SCC accepts other CA Community Colleges placement tests
  • SCC also accepts high school Early Assessment Placement scores (EAP)
  • Students can also take the SCC placement tests at their high schools:
    • Canyon - March 6, 2012 at 8:30am
    • EL Modena -March 2 or March 16, 2012 at 8am
    • Orange - March 7 or March 27, 2012 at 8am
    • Villa Park - February 22, 2012 at 8am
    Students will need to contact the SCC Outreach Department to sign-up for the placement tests.

3. Attend the SCC in-person Orientation/Registration

  • These sessions take place at SCC and students will spend about 3 hours at SCC. Students will receive their test scores, receive a counseling orientation and register for classes. Here are the dates:
    • El Modena - May 3 or 8, 2012 at 1:45pm
    • Villa Park - May 9, 2012 at 1:45pm
    • Richalnd - May 9, 2012 at 1:45pm
    • Orange - May 10, 2012 at 1:45pm
    • Canyon - May 15, 2012 at 1:45pm

Students will need to contact the SCC Outreach Department to sign-up for the placement tests.
